Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based psychotherapy that applies coping skills to assist with emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal functioning. It is not uncommon for clients of DBT to possess knowledge of these skills without the ability to actualize them when necessary. While knowledge of the DBT skills is important, this knowledge alone is insufficient for sustainable behavioural change. This workshop will introduce ways to help formulate problem behaviors exhibited by clients; identify skills deficits and solutions; and help clients integrate as well as generalize the DBT skills into their lives outside of session. You will learn DBT strategies to promote more permanent behaviour change and new, more adaptive ways of coping.

This workshop is designed for those with beginner to intermediate training in DBT skills, and mental health professionals specializing in other skills-based therapy modalities.

Can't attend live? This session will be recorded and available for viewing for a month after the workshop date.

*All registrants will be entered into a draw to win a copy of The DBT Skills Daily Journal
